Wind Nowcast
This wind animation was created from the latest CIOFS field nowcast NetCDF files. The hourly wind fields were created by spatially interpolating the wind products (10m above the water) from the latest run of the National Weather Service's 12-km North American Mesoscale (NAM) weather forecast model. These interpolated wind fields were used as meteorological forcing by CIOFS to generate oceanographic nowcasts.
